I feel like throwing Mardi Gras beads at those things.

Now put the hood down and put them hogs away. :)

Any reason you only do all motor cars? I’d like to see a turbovan.

1. Finding them is far easier/cheaper.

2. The V6s take incredibly well to simple mods. The 3.0 for instance nets 30hp/20ft-lbs from intake/tb/ported plenum/exhaust.

Yeah, but you could have a big ol’ truck turbo strapped to the back of a Pentastar and put 500 to the wheels, no?

Second photo, that intake... that is some serious suckery fuckery going on, eq ual length runners?? Loo ks like it’s plumbed for multiple intake sources... those knockouts on the left side are throwing me for a loop. Is there some kinda valving happening under the ci rcular caps on top?

the 2.7 has that weird looking intake because it had to fit under the LH cars’ low hoods, and it was a longitudinal FWD setup. they just carried it over to the transverse JR/JS cars. IIRC those weird ports and stuff were there to support both longitudinal and transverse applications, only using which ones were needed. There’s no variable valving or charge motion control, those inserts were for tuning the plenum/runners to reduce intake noise.

when they put the 2.7 in the big LX cars, it got a more conventional long-runner intake.

But I wonder how hard it would be to retro fit a GM 3.8 supercharger...

Eh, I could do that with the stock 3.0. They can handle 500whp on stock internals, mostly stock fuel, and a piggyback ecu.

That said, the 180-200 hp/210-230 ft-lbs it’s putting down is more than enough power.

Incredibly. The Ford 3.8 Supercharger is far easier to retro fit.

It had a variable intake. I loved that motor, after intake/exhaust/tune it was quite lively in that little Stratus.

The Magnum 2.7 that powered the Stratus had a variable intake. I created a mock supercharger effect at various rpms to boost power and give it a more linear power curve.

Yep. The design on it is much better suited to fitting it to different engines. I actually already have some 3D designs for making adapters for one.
